Membership in the Canadian Association of Voice Actors connects you with a national community of voice professionals, advocacy initiatives, industry education, and meaningful networking opportunities.

CAVA offers several membership options designed for voice actors and professionals connected to the voiceover industry. Whether you are an established voice actor, transitioning into the field, or part of the broader voiceover ecosystem, there is a place for you in the CAVA community.

Critères d’adhésion

CAVA currently offers three membership options designed to reflect different roles within the voiceover industry.

Review the descriptions below to determine which membership best fits your professional experience and involvement.

VO Professional Member Eligibility:

Applicants must provide 2-3 publicly accessible links that demonstrate current professional voiceover activity, such as:

  • A voiceover website

  • An IMDb page

  • A casting platform profile (Voice123, Voices, Bodalgo, Fiverr, etc.)

  • A professional LinkedIn profile or voice actor social media presence

  • Other publicly accessible links demonstrating voiceover work

Associate Member Eligibility:

  • Film, television, or stage actors

  • Singers or musical theatre performers

  • Broadcasters and journalists

  • Comedians, improvisers, or presenters

  • Digital creators with professional production exp 

Applicants must provide 1-2 examples that demonstrate current professional activity, such as:

  • Union or professional association membership

  • A professional website or portfolio

  • Letter of recommendation from an industry professional

Corporate / Industry Partner Member Eligibility:

  • Casting directors

  • Producers

  • Studio owners and engineers

  • Audio production companies

  • Advertising agencies

  • Technology platforms serving voice talent
     

**Corporate/Industry Partner Members are not eligible to serve on the Board of Directors**​

    For established professionals in related fields who are transitioning into voiceover but do not yet meet the criteria for VO Professional membership.

    • Eligibility to upgrade to Professional once criteria is met
    • Participation in networking, education, and advocacy events
    • **Associate Members are not eligible to serve on the Board**

  • Corporate / Industry Partner Member

Critères d’adhésion

All membership applications are reviewed according to procedures established by the CAVA Board of Directors or its designated committee.
Once an application is approved and membership payment is received, new members will gain access to applicable member benefits and programming.

If an application is not approved, applicants may reapply after six months unless otherwise determined by the Board.

L’ACAV est une association professionnelle. Pour être considéré(e) comme membre, vous devez
être un comédien ou une comédienne de voix professionnel(le) et fournir de 3 à 5 documents
récents appuyant votre statut professionnel.

  • Un site web dédié à votre travail de voix

  • Votre page IMDb

  • Votre profil sur une plateforme de casting en ligne (Voice123, Voices, Bodalgo, Fiverr, etc.)

  • Un lien vers une vidéo présentant votre travail

  • Votre page LinkedIn, votre page Facebook professionnelle ou tout autre média social vous
    identifiant comme professionnel(le)

  • Des critiques ou avis en ligne portant sur votre travail

  • Tout autre lien démontrant votre expérience ou vos réalisations

 

Une fois votre demande approuvée, vous pourrez devenir membre. L’adhésion de première
année est offerte au tarif inaugural de 100 $ CAD pour une année complète, et vous donne accès
à tous les avantages réservés aux membres.

Si votre demande n’est pas acceptée, vous pourrez la soumettre une nouvelle fois après un délai
de 6 mois suivant votre dernière application.

Vous devez accepter les modalités et conditions d’adhésion de L’ACAV.
